Blue & Orange Architecture Illustration

OPPORTUNITY

This was a personal project where I wanted to explore the use of gradients and architectural illustration in Adobe Illustrator.

SOLUTION

The illustration is based off of a free image found on unsplash.com. Some elements from the original photo were removed and altered to evoke a sense of simplicity and calm. Gradients were used to make the illustration feel realistic and look like a photograph (especially from a distance). The vibrant colors were pulled and altered from the actual photo. The pen tool was used to create all the shapes.
