Ivy Leaves Journal of Literature & Art –Vol. 88

OPPORTUNITY

Work as a member of a design team to brand Anderson University’s annual Ivy Leaves Journal of Literature & Art as well as designing the journal’s 2013 edition.

SOLUTION

The objective of the journal’s branding was to reference historical printer’s marks in addition to illustrating the union of literature and art in one journal. A team member and myself created the typography that accompanies the mark, and our senior group member designed the mark.

For the design of the 2013 journal, the objective was to create a traditional, classic journal that also has a fresh and modern feel. A clean and sophisticated layout was devised to showcase student work, and great care and consideration was taken when creating the typographic palette.
